The Techniacal Support Representative provides technical phone and email support to customers regarding Bimba enterprise-wide products. They will apply knowledge of cataloged products, technical design and product use in order to assist customers in the application of enterprise-wide products. May adapt procedures and techniques to meet special needs. Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only complex issues to a higher level. Works under minimal supervision. May periodically assist in the training of lower level employees.


+ Satisfy technical inquiries received at Bimba Manufacturing from any customer/distributor, related to all product lines via any communication tool (i.e., fax, e-mail, v-mail, telephone).

+ Apply knowledge of products, technical design and their use to assist with customers with product selection and troubleshooting. May require research or practical experience of product or application.

+ Responsible for processing quote requests for product deviations or specials which includes working with other departments to verify manufacturing capabilities and developing costs for components/assemblies.

+ Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs). Create related disposition reports providing an explanation of the results of our analysis of the return and submit to the customer.

+ Responsible for carrying out requests that will initiate or alter previously documented items such as taking and maintaining orders, develop pricing for specials, understanding the impact and initiating order changes.

+ Responsible for research and understanding of readily accessible information such as in catalogs, ATP, delivery.

+ Author technical bulletins for use in training programs or tools to support efforts of the Service Center, Sales or Marketing Departments.

+ Develop marketing information for product improvement or new product opportunities.

+ Author and maintain deviation schedules.

+ Perform information maintenance duties such as EDI editing, quotation updates, summary or trend analysis work such as sample effectiveness and quote summary.

+ Gather information to enter into the customer database.

+ Perform sales presentations as required including active participation as an instructor at Bimba seminars and/or participant in customer/distributor presentations.

+ An associate degree in a technology or science field, preference given to pneumatics or hydraulics or electronics.

+ Prior customer service experience

+ Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication in a problem solving context.

+ CFPPS certification is required or to be obtained in one year.


+ 4 year degree

+ Prior customer service experience in a technical field
